About Us.
We believe that building a home is one of the most empowering journeys a person can take. We’re passionate about providing schools and institutions with the knowledge, resources, and confidence they need to empower their students on that journey and develop real world skills they can take with them into their future career.

Hey, I'm Nick Mosley
From a young age, I've always known I was going to be a builder. I've taken everything I've learned from being a former CTE student, along with 20 years of construction, and packed it into this curriculum program to help students learn valuable skills that will prepare them for careers.

Making a Difference

Shaping the future of sustainable housing and creating a lasting impact on education and workforce development across the nation.
Meet Nick Mosley, a leading authority in the tiny house movement and an advocate for sustainable and affordable living. Nick is the owner and founder of several companies, including California Tiny House, Inc., Tiny House Education (501c3), Tiny House, Inc., and Cali Prefab. With over two decades of experience in the construction industry, Nick has dedicated his career to designing and building model and custom tiny homes that are not only beautiful but also eco-friendly and functional.
Nick’s passion for tiny homes extends beyond just building them. He is a contributing author for the ICC Modular Standards 1200 and 1205, which provide guidelines for the design and construction of modular buildings, including stationary tiny homes. He also contributes to the upcoming moveable tiny house standards (MTH1215) in collaboration with ICC and THIA. Nick serves as the Vice President of the American Tiny House Association (ATHA), a non-profit organization that promotes the growth of the tiny house movement by advocating for legislation and attainable housing.
In addition to his leadership roles with ATHA, Nick is a voting Board Member for the Tiny Home Industry Association and Chairman of the National Tiny Home Builders Committee. He is an active industry partner and advisor for over a dozen school districts across the country, bridging the gap between education and the trades. Through his company Tiny House, Inc. (THinc), Nick provides education and training to individuals and learning institutions interested in building their own Certified Tiny Homes. His innovative programs, such as student-built tiny house initiatives, empower students with hands-on construction experience, leadership skills, and career preparation while contributing to community solutions for affordable housing.
Nick Mosley is a proud product of Career and Technical Education (CTE), which laid the foundation for his successful career in construction and the tiny house movement. Growing up, Nick discovered his passion for hands-on learning and the trades through working with his father and through CTE programs that equipped him with practical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of craftsmanship. His experience as a CTE student instilled in him a lifelong commitment to empowering others through education and training. Today, as a leader in the tiny house industry, Nick channels that same passion into developing programs that connect students to meaningful careers and real-world applications. His journey is a testament to the transformative power of CTE in shaping not only careers but also futures.
Nick’s work with schools reflects his deep commitment to education and fostering the next generation of skilled tradespeople. By collaborating with educators to develop robust curriculum frameworks, quality assurance protocols, and industry certifications, he ensures students gain practical, real-world experience while aligning with academic standards. Nick’s passion for education extends to hosting professional development workshops and supporting teachers in delivering meaningful, project-based learning experiences.
Nick’s companies and affiliates—CALtiny.com, TinyEdu.org, ICCsafe.org, Americantinyhouseassociation.org, Tinyhomeindustryassociation.org, and Thinc.build—provide a comprehensive range of resources and services for anyone interested in the tiny house movement. With his expertise and dedication, Nick is not only shaping the future of sustainable housing but also creating a lasting impact on education and workforce development across the nation.
